My name is Vida, and yes, that’s me in our infinity-edge pool overlooking the Bali Sea.

We (my husband and I) currently live and work abroad, but look forward to someday retiring to North Bali and our magical property! In the meantime, we warmly welcome guests wishing to share in the seclusion, sensuality and serenity that our little slice of paradise offers.

Located on the North coast of Bali, in a relatively remote, unspoiled, and unpolluted area, well away from the main tourist hubs, Agung Bali Nirwana (ABN) is our oasis within an eden. We are a 45 minute drive from the former capital, Singaraja, 90 minutes from Ubud, and Ngurah Rai International Airport is a beautiful 3-3.5 hours drive away.

We are part of the small Hindu village of Sambirenteng and all our staff are from our village. You can do as little or as much as you want here. Rest and relax in our infinity-edge pool overlooking the Bali Sea at our front, or explore the myriad roads and trails that meander up the volcano, Mt. Batur, at our back. Come and experience the “real” Bali, where people’s smiles are genuine, and not contrived because they are seeing dollar signs when they look at you.

The majority of our guests come to stay with us to get away from their hectic lives back home. Literally at our door steps is a spectacular living coral reef (our house reef), that offers great opportunities for our guests to step out of their villa and right into the welcomingly warm Bali Sea for snorkeling or sea kayaking (we have two sea kayaks). The seabed near the shore in our area is mostly pebbles, rocks and coral. At our property the water is 1-1.5 meters deep for about 30-50 meters from shore then gradually drops to 3 meters…6 meters…and then down into the dark depths. With a simple mask, snorkel and fins, in seconds you can be swimming among the coral and the tropical fish that abound here.

Below you can see a birds-eye picture of our property. We are ”seaside" in the true sense of the word, sitting directly on the Bali Sea. Our villas sit about 30 meters back from the sea and are separated only by our freshwater, freeform, infinity edge pool.

We have 3 identical villas, each furnished with modern amenities and comforts. Each villa has 3 bedrooms, all air-conditioned and can sleep up to 6 guests. Most of our guests are couples or pairs of couples, that choose to stay with us for the serenity, remoteness, privacy and romantic setting that our location provides, not to mention personalized services and pampering provide by our staff. But we also often have families visit, so we do our best to coordinate bookings to accommodate the demands and expectations of our varied guests with comfort and quality as our priority.

To that end, we rarely rent out all three of our villas during the same period, unless a large group/family traveling together, or a wedding party, or an event organizer wishes to rent all 3 villas at once. We do our best to keep one villa empty, even though our property is large, this allows our guests maximum privacy and serenity. We also do this so that when my husband and I want to visit, we are assured to have a villa available for ourselves…we try to get there as often as we can. Unlike most other rental properties, our goal is not to max-out occupancy at all times, but to provide an unforgettable experience for our guests. And it works, many of our guests return year after year.

Each villa incorporates marble and teak in the interior design and has a master bedroom, with a king sized bed and a large ensuite bathroom; a primary guest bedroom with a queen sized bed, and secondary bedroom with twin sized full length beds; the guest bedrooms share a large bathroom in the adjoining hallway.

Each villa also has a living room with flat screen TV (satellite channels including CNN, Discovery, MTV, several English language movie channels, other language channels, sports channels, etc.) The living room looks out to the sea and adjoins a fully equipped European standard, open plan kitchen with gas hob, microwave, large refrigerator, toaster, dishes and utensils.

Uniquely, each villa is surrounded by it’s own lotus/koi pond, providing elements of Feng Shui and serving as a natural insect barrier. Sitting in the middle of the lotus/koi pond, each villa not only has an L-shaped patio area perfect for lazing around reading a book, playing cards or enjoying a meal, it also has a “Bale” or gazebo, with teak table and teak chairs where guests can also choose to take their meals if they wish.

Our beachfront open-sided “Ganesha” restaurant serves a selection of Indonesian/Thai and Western dishes and is the perfect place to take meals while watching the local fishermen go by, day or night, in their outriggers. Guests can, of course, cook their own meals in the villa kitchen if they wish, though because of the convenience of our restaurant, quality of food and the low cost of our menu selections, it rarely happens.

The only two-story structure on our property is the open air sea-side meditation and wellness building; the downstairs is a favorite location for guests to read or meditate while looking out on the Bali sea, and the upstairs is where we offer our guests massages and wellness treatments.

Unlike most private villa holiday rentals on Bali, we operate legally and are fully licensed. Not only do we pay our fair share of taxes, but we also are an integral part of our village, where all of our staff are from, and contribute to our community as a full fledged member.

We pride ourselves on offering exactly what you see on our website, and not sugar coating it. When you arrive at ABN, you won’t be disappointed at the pictures or the details mentioned on our site being different than reality, they won’t be. My husband and I, as frequent travelers ourselves, are very keen on truth in advertisement and have experienced the disappointment of getting somewhere and seeing how it was nothing like what we were told it would be, and don’t want any of our guests to feel that way.

That’s also why we decided not make our rates seasonal, again, unlike most other holiday properties or hotels on Bali. This means we do not raise them arbitrarily when demand is high. But don't let our low rates fool you, the value you receive in accommodation, service, and location is what other places charge several times our rates for.

With a total of three villas on-site, we CAN accommodate larger parties, as well as host and help plan the perfect private wedding ceremony (legal or ceremonial) or a traditional Balinese Blessing Ceremony for guests wishing to have an unforgettable event at an idyllic location.
